After selecting Volt as the audio interface for the software, the software can directly access and route Volt’s I/O. With some audio software - such as a DAW (digital audio workstation) - you need to choose the device to use for audio I/O. Volt can be set as the input and output (I/O) device for system sound in the operating system (macOS/Windows) settings. System sound is used by software such as music players, web browsers, and conferencing software, as well as system alert sounds.
